MalaMala Game Reserve COVID-19 Terms and Conditions

* These terms will remain in place until such time restrictions impacting inbound and outbound travel into Southern Africa are lifted. When the latter occurs, any booking still to travel or made under the auspices of these terms and conditions will be replaced by MalaMala’s Standard Terms and Conditions.


  • We will honour the existing 2020/2021 rates for all deferred bookings effective for travel to 31 March 2022
  • Any new bookings for 2022 will be levied at the 2022 published rates.
  • We will honour the Pay 3/Stay 4 special as follows:-
    • 10 January – 31 March 2022
    • 01 November – 15 December 2022


    • No cancellation fees will be charged for bookings cancelled prior to 45 days of travel
    • For all other periods, the following cancellation fees will apply:

    Between 45 and 30 days prior to arrival: 25% cancellation fee

    Less than 30 days prior to arrival : 50% cancellation fee

    Less than 14 days prior to arrival : 90% cancellation fee

    50% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival

    90% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival


      Provisional bookings will be held for 2 weeks unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to contact the guests/agents if we require the provisionally held space for a confirmed reservation and request that the reservation is confirmed or released accordingly

        SAFETY PROTOCOL documents:

        • Each guest will be required to complete and provide the following documents at least 72 hours prior to arrival at MalaMala: Health Declaration Form, an Indemnity Form and a copy of ID / Passport
        • PCR test collecting is available at camp at an additional cost. The test results will be received within a 24 hour period
        • In the event a guest tests positive for COVID-19 test within 14 days and can provide the relevant medical certificate, this reservation may be deferred
        • Names changes on all deferred bookings are allowed facilitating the transfer of bookings to other guests
