April 29th. 3 lion sightings: the Eyrefield pride found a buffalo that had seemingly died of natural causes north of the Hogvaal Donga. The Fourways pride were found in eastern Flockfield with 60% remains of a buffalo kill. The Marthly pride were in front of Main Camp.

April 22nd. ‘Winter madness’ seems to setting in early this year as we had 3 lion/buffalo kills today! With pans and dams drying up herds of buffalo are moving into MalaMala more frequently as they make a beeline for the Sand River.

April 15th. 3 lion sightings: the blonde Matshapiri male was just north of Rattray’s Camp. 5 members of the Marthy pride are in Piccadilly Triangle and all are well fed. A single male and a very skittish female were seen at Clarendon Dam.

April 8th. Another MalaMala 7 day! Lions: 4 lionesses of the Southern pride and their 2 cubs were viewed south of Flat Rocks. 8 leopards: the Tslebe Rocks male was seen at Mlowathi Dam. The Kikilezi female was at Sand Pit Crossing. The DOKF 3:3 was opposite Main Camp.
